Room for Horses. Room for Life.
Our home
A place in Ibiza where horses can live, form relationships, move, graze, rest, age and simply be horses. A horse's continued life here does not depend on what it can perform, produce or give to us.

Our Herd

Madre
Chestnut, blond mane, a wide white blaze. Shanti's mother.
Over thirty, perhaps nearly forty. No one knows for sure. She had sixteen foals with Padre, bred to be sold. Here she has nothing left to produce.
Kashi Pushi
Bay gelding, black legs. Nine years old. Shanti's father.
Shanti
Chestnut, a small star on her forehead. Seven years old. Daughter of Madre and Kashi Pushi.
The land
There is shade until midday, and again in the late afternoon. Mornings and evenings are humid.
Sometimes the wind is strong, and the horses change. The wind can drown out sounds that warn of danger.
A horse's defence is to escape, so it always wants to know where the way out is. Where there is no clear exit, it may feel trapped, even among people it trusts. It wants to protect itself without hurting anyone.
Ibizan earth is full of stones. A good, strong fence is one of the biggest costs of all.
Humans enter this place differently. Sometimes to work. Sometimes to observe. Sometimes to walk. Sometimes simply to sit. The place is the first living experiment.

The experiment
Our Home Can Tigres in Ibiza is where the economic question is tested: whether people value the presence of horses enough to pay for it, in money or in other kinds of contribution, so that the place can sustain itself. The test is part of the research. If the answer is no, that is a result too.
The horse is free to choose not to participate. You are free to choose where your attention goes.
Be part of something growing on Ibiza, where land, horses, and community meet in new ways. Share your ideas, your skills, or your dream for a place like this.
Before us

This ground was worked by animals long before we came. The same land, the same walls, the same weather. What has changed is what is asked of the animal.
A day here
- Feeding before the heat.
- People working.
- Grazing.
- Rest.
- Weather.
- Someone sitting at a distance.
- The church bell from Sant Vicent.
- Silence.
