JOIN·RESIDENTS·VISITORS/NEW PLACES
Bring Horse Presence to your place.
Horse Presence does not need to own every place where horses live. We imagine a growing number of places where horses live freely and people can meet them without the horse becoming a service provider.
What could a Horse Presence place be?
Every place will be different.
- A private horse home.
- A piece of agricultural land.
- A place open to visitors.
- A research site.
- A community project.
- An existing sanctuary or herd.
- Or something we haven't imagined yet.
The principle
Make room for Horses. Make room for Life.
A Horse Presence place begins with creating the conditions in which horses can live according to their nature. Human access, experiences, education, research and economic activity come afterwards, and respect each horse's right to refuse participation.
The order matters
- The horse lives.
- People value being in its presence.
- That value is paid for, in money or in other ways.
- What is contributed helps keep the place, and makes room for more horses.
Never the other way round, where visitors want something and horses have to work for them. The horses are not the attraction. They are the reason the place exists.
